Belgian Beers - Guest Writers Wanted

My initial aim - still going strong - was to cover all the Belgian beers available. Of course what I realized down the line was that there are SO many Belgian beers it might take me a lifetime to taste/ write on all of them.
The problem also comes from the geographical location of the Belgian beers, not all of them available in Brussels.
Which is why I am looking for guest writers! If you like (love?) Belgian beers, and they haven't yet been featured on this blog then why not give it a go? All I ask for is a photo of the beer, maybe even with the matching glass, and a short tasting note in English. Of course credits will be given to you! With links to your own blog/ beer site/ whichever suits.
Now all I have to do is wait ... and wait ... and wait. Which doesn't mean I won't continue drinking and writing on my very own tasted Belgian beers.
Cheers!

Brewery Visit: 3 Fonteinen

I wish I could tell you this was an entertaining and fun visit. It wasn't. I blame it all on the rain and cold outside, but I did not have fun. The brewery exists since 1887, and is currently run by Armand and Lieve Debelder. I am sure we saw Lieve in the brewery shop - worth a visit.
The brewery can be visited at agreed times/ dates, and if you also go for a lunch at the brewery restaurant next door it all comes to 35euro.

Belgian Beer no.121: Beersel

Brewed by the same brewery as the Oude Gueze (previous beer), the 3 Fonteinen, now the Beersel. There is the Beersel Bio, the Lager and the Blond - which is the one I went for. Very nice beer!
At 7% it has a light taste, albeit a little bitter. A very refreshing beer. And I realize more and more I love blond beers. Cheers!

Belgian Beer no.120: Oude Gueze 1998

The Oude Gueze 1998. Brewed by the 3 Fonteinen, it is a lambic style beer. Not my thing, as I don't enjoy gueze beers too much. Plan and simple it is too sour for my taste.
But it is a famous beer, liked by many - obviously. I see the 3 Fonteinen brewery is even organizing a Gueze Tour so there must be something to these beers.

Beer Bar in Brussels - Chez Moeder Lambic

Lately I have not been drinking beer (or wine for that matter), nor cooking a lot or eating out. Why? Well because it is the beginning of the year and real life took over at full speed. But that doesn't mean I have forgotten all about the Belgian Beer.
So here it is: another one of my favorite Belgian Beer Bars in Brussels. It is the Chez Moeder Lambic. Conveniently located in a busy commune of Brussels, the Chez Moeder Lambic is a very small bar but oh-ho! The beer list is endless and a lot of the beers can be found on tap as well. The bar offers over 350 Belgian Beers (!!!) so I'd say it's a must for every Belgian Beer lover out there.
Note: I have to update the photo. See comments!
